Many years breeding commercial cattle for Western Australia’s domestic market have taught us that moderate framed, thick and deep bodied cattle with quiet temperaments are the ones that will reward you year after year. These cattle combined with balanced EBV’s are the ones who will:

1. Conceive every year

2. Calve unassisted

3. Maintain body condition

4. Wean a heavy calf

5. Require little maintenance

When we select a sire to include in our program, a great deal of effort goes into ensuring he is structurally correct. Something that can be difficult for overseas sires. Ideally, we prefer to let other studs go first and when there is sufficient data to satisfy us, we will use him. If a young sire becomes available who really catches our eye, then we will “dip our toe in the water” before committing to large numbers.
